The PlayStation Network is down because of an outage.The Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media, Patrick Seybold, said that the network could be down for a couple of days and users will experience problems and may get error messages during this time.
The problem for the outage is still under investigation, and they want to not only find the problem, but prevent it from happening again.
There is no scheduled time for the next update from PlayStation on their progress, but you can check for by staying tuned to the PlayStation blog .
They are not sure if it is a outside party causing the problem, or if the system is needing an update like the XBox 360 (Call Of Duty: Black Ops) recently had to undergo.
This really sucks for Playstation as they just recently released Mortal Kombat, SOCOM 4, and Portal 2
Rated one of the top games, and growing quickly in popularity.
